The Unknown

The Unknown
By Vidushi Pande

In this preoccupied world
Beneath the undying azure
Exists a soul, being sold
Digging a hole
With nowhere to go

Raging, waging its own war
Shackled and torn
Nothing but a shadow
Bound by an unruly vow
Deprived of His grace

With no meaning to life
From remorse to strife
Dried up, lost in the profundity
Cries, oh thou All Mighty
Buy me a new soul or let me through the door

Longing to break free
Free from the chains supreme
Unnoticed you live and disappear
For you’re a shade and easy to ignore
